Andorra vacations

The Principality of Andorra, located in the heart of the Pyrenees, offers a truly fantastic experience. In addition to breathtaking scenery and natural beauty, the country is home to historical monuments, Romanesque art, and numerous festivals and celebrations.

Andorra is a small landlocked Pyrenean mountain country in Southern Europe. Some of the mountain range's 72 peaks rise above 2000 meters (1.24 miles). Andorra la Vella is the capital.

The country has a unique political system because it is a parliamentary co-principality. The Bishop of Urgell and the President of the French Republic serve as the two heads of state. The governance system dates back to the Middle Ages.

Although Andorra uses the euro as its official currency, it is not a member of the European Union. Before its adoption, the nation used both the Spanish peseta and the French franc. Trade and tourism account for 60% of the Andorran economy.

Catalan is Andorra's official language, but Spanish, French, and Portuguese are all commonly spoken. The Andorran Constitution protects religious freedom, but Roman Catholicism continues to dominate the country's religious landscape.
