12 Photos That Will Make You Want To Visit Venice

Venice, Metropolitan City of Venice, Italy

Ciao! Going to Italy? Are you thinking of visiting Venice? Virtually unchanged for 600 years, this Northern Italian city has nearly 120 small islands, more than 150 canals, and 400 bridges. It is a remarkable architectural masterpiece, with works by some of Italy's greatest artists, including Bellotto, Palladio, Tintoretto, Titian, and others. I highly recommend spending at least a few days in Venice to see its many highlights and beautiful islands, such as Burano and Morano.

I like to visit unusual locations. Venice is unquestionably one of them. The city's architecture, with its stunning façades overlooking the canals, is unlike what you see in Rome or Florence. When visiting Venice, don't pass up the chance to ride in a gondola, a traditional Venetian rowing boat, beneath bridges and along quiet, peaceful stretches. Through my twelve photographs, enjoy the splendor of Venezia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
